Four Pre Season Matches Confirmed

Four Pre Season Matches Confirmed

Hibs have confirmed four pre season friendlies as new boss Alan Stubbs gears his squad towards peak fitness prior to the season opener against Livingston.

First challenge for Stubbs' men is a match against Lowland League outfit Vale of Leithen on Saturday 5th July, a match which will hopefully raise significant funds for the Borderers who are in financial difficulties after mis-management from the club's previous committee and face expulsion from both the League and Scottish Cup should the situation not improve.

The following weekend sees Hibs travel to Shielfield Park to take on Scottish League Two outfit Berwick Rangers on Saturday 12th July.

Both matches are 3pm kick offs which will encourage a sizeable travelling support to make the journeys to assess what playing style Stubbs will encourage following successive years of eye bleeding football under Pat Fenlon and Terry Butcher.

Hibs then face two clashes against League One opposition when they make the short trips to Dunfermline and Stirling.

They face the Pars at East End Park on Tuesday 15th July in a 7:30pm kick off whilst they'll line up at Forthbank Stadium on Sunday 20th July, with the match kicking off at 2pm.

Admission prices for the matches are as follows:

Vale of Leithen : Adults £7, Concessions £3

Berwick Rangers : Adults £10, Concessions £5

Dunfermline : Adults £10, Concessions £5

Stirling Albion : Adults £10, Students & OAP's £5, Under 17's £2, Under 12's Free

Nice wee train journey for the Berwick game I think. If it's as scorchio as it was on our last visit there could be another great Hibs support down. Bit disappointed the Dunfermline game is a Tuesday but so long as the Steak birdies are hot I won't complain.

Think the only one I'll make will be Berwick :-( work commitments will rule out Dunfermline and Stirling and I'm on Holiday for Vale of Leithen.
