New Club Sponsor Announced

Hibs today announced a new sponsorship deal with global bookmakers Marathonbet which sees the company become the club's main sponsors.

The deal, worth a 'significant' six figure sum, will see the Marathonbet logo adorn the front of the Hibs shirt for the next two years with an option to extend the deal for a third.

Marathonbet replace Crabbies as the main sponsor of the Easter Road side and despite being little known in Scotland claim to be the preferred bookie of choice for more than 1.5 million gamblers worldwide.

Hibernian Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: 'We are delighted to welcome Marathonbet as our new Main Sponsor and we are excited about how our mutually beneficial partnership will develop moving forward.

'Marathonbet are an ambitious company who are aiming to grow substantially over the next few years - Hibernian shares similar goals and we're confident the two brands will work well together as a team.

'Today's launch sees the beginning of another new chapter for Hibernian and another fresh addition to the club as we look towards the start of the upcoming season.'

Marathonbet have invested in the football market previously and are current shirt sponsors of recently relegated Fulham and Ukrainian heavyweights Dynamo Kiev.
