Dempster a Candidate For SFA Role?

Dempster a Candidate For SFA Role?

Stewart Regan resigned his position as Scottish Football's head honcho on Thursday following a turbulent 8 year reign which saw him make one calamitous mistake after another and it would seem a wise choice by the governing body if they were to glance east for his replacement.

The SFA have long been known to pander to the two biggest Glasgow clubs however Reagan's acceptance of running roughshod over the rulebook when it comes to both the original Rangers FC and the New, far more bitter version is something which he and the Association will never be forgiven for by supporters of all clubs outside of Govan.

Between him and SPFL Chief Neil Doncaster the pair of Gers sycophants ruined what little credibility the game in Scotland had remaining by their strongarm refusal to punish either Rangers by way of title stripping effectively condoning the cheating which led to sporting success.

For a while the phrase, championed by our own Rod Petite, was 'Sporting Integrity' but it was Regan who had little integrity as he towed the Ibrox lie, sorry, line.

Finally the man who ran the omnishambles at Hampden with the specific reasoning of failing to land top target Michael O'Neil as Gordon Strachan's replacement.

Let's face it... given his previous incompetence was it really a great surprise the Ulsterman knocked back the opportunity to take charge with a boss like Regan? The man was a proven liar who somehow manipulated his way to a top job. It'll be interesting to see his next move.

Anyway, should the SFA have any sense they'll look towards Easter Road for Reagan's replacement.

Current Hibs CEO Leeann Dempster has transformed a club on its knees after the disastrous Terry Butcher reign and relegation.

She's proved to be an astute recruiter with her first appointee Alan Stubbs ending 114 years of heartache by lifting the Scottish Cup and his successor, Neil Lennon, lifting the Championship title and currently overseeing a decent Premiership campaign in the Hibees first season back in the top flight.

Dempster's open approach to all is a joy to behold and one wonders whether she would be accepting of the blazers at Hampden with their outraged ideas and limited ambitions.

She'd certainly be good for the game and promote it in the correct manner- could the current board of the SFA live with her putting an end to their free loading and apathy towards supporters? We wait with baited breath.
